Welcome to Race Track Chaplaincy of America Northern California!
Rob Cochran has done a wonderful job of keeping the various projects and services moving forward. Rob's formal title is ASSISTANT CHAPLAIN but the vast majority of responsibilities are on him at present. He oversees the food and clothing giveaways and is the point person for emergencies that arise.
Race tracks are a community and a culture. It is a love of horses that brings everyone together on a track. Our local Chaplaincy is part of a larger national organization. Here is a video that will offer some insight into the organization and its value to the racing community:

Covid and the Backstretch
Covid has impacted all of our lives and the horse industry is no different. The workers on the backstretch have been affected. Currently it appears that the numbers of cases are going down. Racing at Golden Gate Fields has been put on pause and hopefully will resume in the near future.
Golden Gate Fields has been very supportive of the workers and it is with heartfelt gratitude and appreciation that we thank them.
It is never easy to be unable to work. The workers as well as the trainers have ongoing expenses. Horses have needs too and are both labor intensive and expensive to support.
RTCA is working to offer support and assistance to the community.
